My great niece and nephew – The Next Generation!

These two kids are so very important in our family’s life. They don’t live so close but with FaceTime, I can see them and talk to them at a moment’s notice. I treasure any time that I spend with them! They are beautiful, smart, funny, full of life, and extremely loveable. As you might wonder about who they are, I am their very proud great-uncle. What a gift that can be when it happens! In the parishes in which I…

God put my where He wanted/needed me to be – Looking back!

Giving the Sacrament of Annointing of the Sick, May 7, 2024        When I look back on my ministerial assignments, the first thought I have is gratitude! I give God a great deal of thanks for allowing me the privilege to serve Him and His people as a priest and bishop these many years. Since ordination as a priest in 1971, I have lived/served in ten different assignments. (Some of my priest friends jokingly say that I couldn’t hold down a job.) But each assignment was unique and special. God let me meet wonderful people in each parish, and I…
